TIPS FOR THE

CUSTODIAL PARENT

Supervised visitation can also be a challenge for you. Typically you have been taking care of your child's everyday needs and have a routine for yourself and your family. Supervised visitation can sometimes feel like one more responsibility. Of course you also have concerns and questions about the visits and how they will affect your child. This is understandable. In difficult times you may also want to talk to a mental health professional or find a support group where you can talk about your feelings. Here are a few suggestions that might help you in the process: ·

Read the Court Order / Custody Order thoroughly

 Explain to your child where and when the visits will take place

 Have your child ready on time and be prompt

 Reassure your child that you support him or her in having a pleasant visit.

· Do not quiz your child about the visit

 Do not make your child a messenger to the other party.

For your consideration,  I am a Certified Supervised  Child  Visitation Monitor and I am interested in this opportunity to serve you.(r-) time together is the business name I have selected. Due to the circumstances you are required to use a Monitor when visiting your children and that’s what I do. I am not here with preconceived notions and judgmental, the court or attorneys involved have required that a Monitor be present. I am there as a neutral  party to assist you in enjoying your children, that’s what “(r-) time together. means. There are certain requirements and rules that I must follow and I will because I do want the visit to go well.

I am the oldest of four brothers and certainly understand the interaction of children. (We, my brothers are all best friends today.) In my adult life I was a United Airlines customer service instructor and a realtor. Both of these positions required me to interact with the public in a positive manner.  I get along well with children and know how to relate to adults in stressful situations. I find that as a Certified Supervised Child  Visitation Monitor concern for the welfare of the children and a dash of common sense brings about a positive (r-) time together. I want the the children to experience a good and safe visit.  That’s my top priority.

 My educational background and extensive work experience are relevant to this opportunity. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California and these certifications prepared me for the professional challenges of efficiently and effectively  preparing/processing reports and protecting human/physical resources (that’s State speak for “children”). I am also a neutral, and punctual.

     The State of California requires that all Supervised  Child  Visitation Monitors under go a Background check. Thus “My Live-Scan Finger Prints and Criminal Background Investigation”  were conducted by a division of the California Department of Social Services. Please call (800) 822-822-8490 and use my identification name “Allyn Anderson” to verify the results of the this Background Investigation.
